Charity partner announced for Craig Gordon’s testimonial

Craig Gordon’s Testimonial Committee are delighted to announce their chosen charity partner as Big Hearts Community Trust, the charity of Heart of Midlothian FC.

The testimonial year is set to celebrate Craig Gordon’s extraordinary career and contribution to Hearts, Scotland and the beautiful game, with a series of events kicking off on Saturday 26th July, with Hearts v Sunderland at Tynecastle Park.

Since 2015, Big Hearts harness the power of football and of the Heart of Midlothian badge to change lives. The award-winning charity is established in the Wheatfield Stand at Tynecastle Park, where all generations gather to receive non-judgemental and free support services around mental health, equality and social connections.

Visiting Big Hearts’ Football Memories project this week, Craig Gordon said: “I have witnessed first hand how Big Hearts help many groups across the community and encourage football fans to help others through volunteering. I’m proud to support the outstanding work of the charity, which is a testament to what football can achieve off the pitch.”

Craig Wilson, Chief Exec of Big Hearts commented: “We couldn’t imagine a better recognition of our work than becoming charity partner of Craig Gordon’s testimonial year. Craig has been a fervent supporter of our charity over the years: on the pitch as well as in his personal time away from the cameras. We feel extremely privileged he’s chosen to support Big Hearts and look forward to celebrating his amazing career with football fans.”
